This year, Dentsu Aegis Network initiated the “Joy of Giving” week to celebrate DIWALI in a way that it helped spread festive DSC 0011 300x199 Dentsu Aegis Network engages with society to celebrate Diwali this seasonhappiness not just amongst its own employees but even beyond.
As part of the initiative, Dentsu Aegis Network organised a week-long Diwali Mela across all its Mumbai offices. Here, representatives from a variety of NGOs were invited to set up stalls and showcase their artwork.
The second initiative that Dentsu Aegis Network devised to celebrate Diwali this year was the “Kitchen Re-fill” project. As part of the programme, more than 300kgs of rice grains and 40kgs of pulses were donated to St. Francais, an orphanage located in Borivali (Mumbai).
In addition to the above, the Group also organised the “Newspapers Collection” drive for “The Wasted Ones” – an NGO that sells old newspapers and utilises the proceeds to provide meals to schools for the underprivileged children. Meanwhile, 30 children from Shelter Don Bosco were invited to Dentsu Aegis Network for a fun filled day on 9th Nov 2015.
The children’s arrival was followed by refreshments, movie screening, lunch, fun games with the employees, magic show, tattoos, and then a note of thanks and gifts.
The Network employees also made contributions from their salary towards the NAAM Foundation, the proceeds from which will be given away to the drought affected farmers.
Simultaneously, as part of the Diwali celebrations, Dentsu Aegis Network organized a “Kiddos In Office” day in its Mumbai office. More than 50 kids of the Network’s employees had a memorable time with their favourite cartoon characters – Doggy Don and Chotu – from Nickelodeon. The same day, employees were asked to attend office in traditional attires.
Dentsu Aegis Network’s Bangalore office conducted a Blood donation drive to collect more than 50 bottles of blood. Employees also visited VKH Rainbow Home-Kodihalli Orphanage on November 6 to donate food grains and stationery.
The network’s Gurgaon office collected funds from its employees’ salary to provide gloves, socks, caps and notebooks to the underprivileged children, which is supported by the Sankalp Welfare Society.
In Kolkata, the Group’s employees decided to spend a few constructive hours with the boys of Dakshin Kalikata Sevasram, a Home for the destitute. Here, they imparted education and technical training to the children in a bid to nurture and grow young adults and thus direct them towards the mainstream journey called life. The employees also provided lunch and desserts to the boys.
