With over 20 years of advertising experience leading teams in agencies like O&M and Y&R, Kartik co-founded Happy mcgarrybowen in 2007, and features among the prominent creative names in the country today.
Writer. Stand-up comedian. Actor. Director. Kartik’s hats are as feathered as they are many. Complicated as his thought process may be, the work is all about simplicity. An advertising career littered with award-winning work for brands like Flipkart, Diesel, Worldspace, Titan, Land Rover, Ford and Jaguar, stands testimony to that. He has also been instrumental in building and launching brands such as Flipkart, Basics, Myntra, Ola Cabs and Preethi, from the ground up.
A jury member for D&AD professional awards, Kartik was featured in Fortune magazine’s 40Under40, and also debuted as an independent director recently with four films under his belt already.
In an advertising career spanning close to 20 years, Praveen’s journey as an entrepreneur began 9 years ago when he co-founded Happy mcgarrybowen along with Kartik. Since then, he has built over 5 brands ground up, apart from transforming businesses for many more.
After spending his formative years leading teams in agencies like JWT, Lowe Lintas and O&M, Praveen has created highly lauded, metal-winning campaigns for Flipkart, Myntra, Titan, Levi’s, Tanishq, Fastrack, Bingo, Lipton, Lee, Myntra, Diesel, to name a few.
At Happy mcgarrybowen, he assumes multiple roles heading the Design cell, the Enterprise Marketing division, while also working on Behavioral Change campaigns for rural markets and improving user experience. A member of Sagmeister-led jury at Spikes Asia International Festival, Praveen was also featured in Fortune magazine’s 40Under40.
A post graduate in mass communication, Sid has over 20 years of advertising experience behind him, having worked in various agencies across Mumbai, Bangalore and Sri Lanka.
His portfolio of clients include Cadbury’s, Vodafone, US AID, Diageo, ITC Foods, Nestle, GSK, Yahoo, International Cricket Council, Sri Lanka Tourism, Sri Lanka Telecom, to name a few. Multiple campaigns led by Sid have won top honours for both creativity and effectiveness in India and abroad.
Apart from developing big ideas for brands, Sid has an eclectic taste in music, loves discovering innocuous eating joints, is passionate about fitness and enjoys disappearing into the wild every now and then.
