Happy mcgarrybowen currently manages the creative mandates for several prestigious brands like Ola, Suzuki Two-Wheelers, MG Motor, BharatBenz, Myntra, Jabong, Cure.Fit, Duroflex, Lee, Preethi Kitchen Appliances, Wash United and Dream11 to name a few. The agency has previously handled the creative duties for brands like Flipkart, Diesel, Fastrack, GoDaddy, Bluestone, Incredible India, MobiKwik, FreshMenu, Joy Cosmetics, Puma and MTV, among others. With over 20 years of advertising experience leading teams in agencies like O&M and Y&R, Kartik co-founded Happy mcgarrybowen in 2007, and features among the prominent creative names in the country today.

Writer. Stand-up comedian. Actor. Director. Kartik’s hats are as feathered as they are many. Complicated as his thought process may be, the work is all about simplicity. An advertising career littered with award-winning work for brands like Flipkart, Diesel, Worldspace, Titan, Land Rover, Ford and Jaguar, stands testimony to that. He has also been instrumental in building and launching brands such as Flipkart, Basics, Myntra, Ola Cabs, Cure.fit, Billion and Preethi, from the ground up.

A jury member for D&AD professional awards, Kartik was featured in Fortune magazine’s 40Under40, and also debuted as an independent director recently with five films under his belt already.

Praveen Das

In an advertising career spanning close to 20 years, Praveen’s journey as an entrepreneur began 9 years ago when he co-founded Happy mcgarrybowen along with Kartik. Since then, he has built over 5 brands ground up, apart from transforming businesses for many more.

After spending his formative years leading teams in agencies like JWT, Lowe Lintas and O&M, Praveen has created highly lauded, metal-winning campaigns for Flipkart, Myntra, Titan, Levi’s, Tanishq, Fastrack, Bingo, Lipton, Lee, Myntra, Diesel, to name a few.

At Happy mcgarrybowen, he assumes multiple roles heading the Design cell, the Enterprise Marketing division, while also working on Behavioral Change campaigns for rural markets and improving user experience. A member of Sagmeister-led jury at Spikes Asia International Festival, Praveen was also featured in Fortune magazine’s 40Under40.

An army kid, boxer and professional nomad - Samarjit’s journey in the ad world is close to 25 years. His career spans some of the biggest agencies from Lintas, Leo Burnett, Blackpencil, Virgin comics to Ogilvy. His work in Orchard Advertising is the stuff of legends, as the agency grew from a single office operation to another branch in Mumbai.

It goes without saying that he’s handled the biggest names - McDonalds, HDFC Life Insurance, Toyota, Manhattan credit cards, Diageo, Reliance Communications- the list gets longer by the hour. During his stint as VP at Virgin Comics, he worked with some exceptional global talents - John Woo, Nicholas Cage, Guy Ritchie, Will Smith to name just a few.

As the COO of Happy Mcgarrybowen, he’s entrusted with the responsibility to run and grow the advertising business across the country, starting with the spanking new Delhi office. With his expertise in brand development, marketing management, online advertising and endless other things, the Happy boat hopes to conquer untested waters.
