Taproot Dentsu leads Indian tally at Adfest 2016 with 22 Finalists

McCann Worldgroup India is next with 16 finalists followed by BBDO India with 10

The four-day advertising festival, Adfest 2016, opened its doors to delegates today in Pattaya, Thailand. The Finalists results also came out this morning. Like every year India has done well at Adfest 2016 with over 60 finalists in the 14 categories. Taproot Dentsu leads the table with 22 Finalists followed by McCann with 16 and BBDO with 10.

Results will be announced on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 night.

Among other Indian agencies figuring in the Finalists list are Contract with six, JWT with four, and Creativeland Asia, Publicis and Earlyman Production with one each.

The Taproot Dentsu finalists are: IOAA (Indian Outdoor Advertising Associations) in Print, Outdoor and Print Craft; Dulux Paint in Print and Outdoor; Birla Sunlife Insurance in Print Craft; and The Times of India’s Visual Classified nominated again in Print Craft.

McCann’s two Finalist campaigns are: Dabur Digestive pills in Print, Outdoor, Print Craft and Design; and Radio Mirchi TVC in Film.

BBDO’s Ariel Matic ‘Share the load’ and Whisper ‘Touch the Pickle’ have got them 10 nominations in Media, Outdoor, Promo and Direct category

In 2013 Taproot was awarded the most coveted ‘Agency of the Year’ title at Adfest, the first and only Indian agency to receive this honour.

Founded in 1998, Adfest is one of the oldest Asian creative awards shows in Asia. It’s an annual advertising festival celebrating and raising the standard of creativity. In the last few years, Adfest started accepting entries from the Middle East to further embrace the cultural diversity and richness of Asia. With this rich heritage and legacy, Adfest aims for the recognition and preservation of Asian creativity.
